This week, farm gate prices in Vietnam decreased for Vannamei and stayed mostly stable for Monodon. In India, prices remained stable from the previous week in Andhra Pradesh, while other regions saw slightly declining prices compared to the previous week. Farm gate prices in China declined further in the main producing regions last week. In Indonesia, prices saw an uptick in East Java while other larger regions showed some stability from last week. Price in Ecuador rose at some large sizes while price in Thailand showed some slight fluctuations…
The demand from processors in Vietnam for Vannamei remains low, which has led to significant declines this week. The expectation is that it will not recover before the end of the year as most factories have fulfilled their export contracts for the remainder of 2024. For Monodon, prices have remained stable this week even with a low supply of raw materials available.
